Stockholm International Horse Show is the biggest yearly event of the Ericsson Globe Arena (bigger than for example the Swedish Hockey Games).
The biggest equestrian event in Sweden considering the audience and general media.
The spectators are from all over Sweden: 40 % of the spectators come from places outside the greater region of Stockholm.
Concept: The highest international standard, in both competition and entertainment.
Competition: Reem Acra FEI World Cup in dressage, International show jumping and FEI World Cup Four in Hand driving.
A member from the royal court is always present at the prizegiving ceremony for the "Prince Carl Philips Prize".
General information about the equestrian sport
The equestrian sport in Sweden is the second most popular sport (after football). It is also the third biggest sport among females.
About 150 000 people has a membership in one of the more than 900 Riding-Clubs organised in 19 districts.
500 000 people are riding on a regular basis. Every third Swede comes in contact with horse.
The Equestrian sport is, as well as a sport, an industry (turnover: 1 billion SEK).
The horse is by nature a very important environmental resource. The Equestrian Sport in Sweden is the leading sport within the environmental field and has a very ambitious environmental programme.
